Mr. Thérien holds a Bachelor degree in Administration (specilized in finance) from l'UQAM. He worked for 18 years as investment advisor for multiple brokerage firms. At Nippon, he plays a key role in financing and strategic planning. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Nick Vukovich

Nikola Vukovic – Chief Operating Officer
With 30 years in the mining business, Mr. Vukovic has extensive global experience in a range of mining functions; including projects evaluation, financing, development and operations. He was successful with strategic planning, business development and in implementation of leading business practices for sustainable or event based value creation, re-engineering, optimization and process automation. 

Prior to joining Nippon, Mr. Vukovic held various senior leadership positions where he budgeted, constructed, commissioned and turned over large capital open pit and underground projects with major mining companies like BHP Billiton, Rio Tinto and Freeport McMoRan. Mr. Vukovic has an Honours BSc in Geology from Tuzla University and an M. Eng. in Mining from McGill University. In 2012, he received the Qualified Professional designation from the Mining and Metallurgical Society of America.

Mr. Stella is a seasoned IR manager, held a Vice-president's position with a large well known investor relations firm and senior administrative positions in the banking industry, commercial financing section. He maintains a national and international network of contacts and has been instrumental in the company’s development over the past 15 years. An active participant in community activities, for 7 years he was president of the Ride For Dad (Montreal chapter), a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness for the fight against prostate cancer and over the past 12 years he has been a volunteer at a Montreal hospital

 

 

 

 

 

Ken-K.J.-Onoda-SongKen K.J Onoda-Song – International Advisor

Mr. Onoda-Song has extensive experience in international business working with clients and partners around the globe as a successful consultant and advisor and board member of several businesses. Over the past 8 years he assisted the Company in business development and investor relations and has also acted as our Board Secretary. Having studied and lived in both Asia and North America, attending American schools since kindergarten, including Canadian Academy and MCU of California, his embracement and understanding of both cultures has given him the background essential for international business. Mr. Onoda-Song is the key person in establishing and maintaining a bridge between Canada and Asia and his vast business network and personal connections worldwide is a major asset to the Company.

 

 

 

 

Arihito NishimuraArihito Nishimura – International Advisor

As the CEO of Material Japan Inc. and Material Arctic Inc. and the Senior Vice President of Taniguchi-Gumi Inc., Mr. Nishimura has dedicated his entire career life to manage civil-engineering & construction companies. In recent years he has expanded his business into the renewable energy sector, owning and managing solar power plants and has also ventured into biomass energy operations. By utilizing his vast experience and connections with major civil engineering & construction companies, he is determined to market Nippon’s technology in Japan and to the world. His focus also includes finding strategic partners from Japan and across Asia to fund mining projects using the Dragon. He has hosted thermal fragmentation demos in Japan, inviting representatives of major general contractors, construction companies and heavy machinery manufacturers. He has made great contributions and his commitment to the Company is unquestionable, making him one of our most trusted and reliable partners.

Dr. Euler De SouzaEuler De Souza - Director
Dr. Euler De Souza was appointed Director in July 2020.

Dr. Euler De Souza brings more than 35 years of experience in the mining industry both in Canada and internationally. Dr. De Souza has worked in technical and economic feasibility studies for a number of mining projects worldwide, bringing with him a wealth of experience.

He is president and CEO of AirFinders Inc., a consulting firm providing ventilation services to the mining industry, which he founded in 2009. He is a highly regarded, well known consultant in mine ventilation; AirFinders customer base includes some of the largest international mining companies in the world. For 33 years he was an Associate Professor at Queen’s University Department of Mining Engineering, teaching in the areas of mine ventilation, mine hydraulics and underground mining. He is a licensed professional engineer, with M.A.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in mining engineering from Queen's University in 1982 and 1988.

Fabien Miller, P. Eng., M.Sc. - Independent Board Member
Mr. Miller obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering in 1985 and a Master's degree in Rock Mechanics in 1987 from the University of Laval. He began his career as a consultant for Golder's Associates in Toronto. In 1988 he joined the Noranda Technology Center where he developed and patented several technologies while discovering his taste for measurements and efficiency. From 1996 to 2003, he was the founding director of SIAMTec, a mining automation firm. In 2008, he founded TSO, a consulting firm in technology and energy efficiency. Since then, he has successfully completed several energy projects in the mining industry often in collaboration with multiple firms and complementary partners, enabling mining companies to obtain tens of millions of dollars in financial assistance. Mr. Miller is a fervent believer in measurements and technology, often quoted as saying ‘if it doesn’t exist I will develop it’. This was the driving force that led him to found Intelligence Nemesis in 2013, a mining techno development company with a unique platform using photogrammetry, LiDAR and artificial intelligence.

 

 

Frank Guillemette

Frank Guillemette
Mr. Guillemette is an entrepreneur specializing in business finance and venture capital with over 20 years’ experience. Mr. Guillemette launched his career as an employee of Fonds Régional de Solidarité Nord-du-Québec where he was responsible for managing the company’s regional mining portfolio and was accountable for the associated financial duties. In 2004, he founded 9148-5706 Quebec Inc., a private company operating as Multi-Ressources Boréal (“Multi-Resource Boreal“) where he remains active in the management of exploration campaigns and mining land brokerage. Among other successfully executed gold property transactions are the Black Dog project that was sold to Osisko Mining in February 2016 as well as the Monster Lake project a few years earlier and on which IAMGold developed a resource of 1.1 Mt at 12 g / t Au.. He was also responsible for managing multi-million-dollar exploration fieldwork on gold, base metals, phosphorus, iron, titanium and tungsten projects. Mr. Guillemette has also been working for more than 4 years as a “representative of an exempt market dealer” for a Montreal-based exempt market dealer, EMD Financial Inc. In 2016, Mr. Guillemette was awarded the prospector of the year award from the AEMQ. In 2018, he founded the private company Mines Royales Québec and concluded an option agreement with Soquem on the Philibert gold project. At the end of 2020, Hornby Bay Mineral Exploration Ltd (TSX-V: HBE) announced the acquisition of all the shares of Mines Royales Québec. Mr. Guillemette will be a controlling shareholder by holding more than 20% of the issued share capital and a director of Hornby Bay Mineral Exploration Ltd.
